About our Care Guides:

First and foremost, there are no universal rules to animal care; animals all live naturally in dynamically changing environments. Biological variation is the only truth underlying how life works. What works for one animal keeper might never work for another. That is because there is very little systematic science applied across animal care and the cage/room/animal variables are not always equal when comparing to others. Always keep an open mind and stay curious as you learn about each animal you care for!

Our Perspectives:

  1. Most snake species are very forgiving to mistakes, the key is to improve and learn how to care for them better!

  2. If you are not ready to do everything necessary for the animal, you should not own any animals. Proper animal care starts with proper budgeting!
